Over the past few months, I have been playing Diablo 3. The most awaited sequel from its predecessors Diablo 1 and 2 as well as its expansion. From its release, people have bought the game but many problems occur during its release and several unannounced server maintenance. I think the game is prematurely released that is why there were a lot of problems had occurred although the beta release has much more potential than the actual game itself claimed by others. There were many updates that was released and many changes were done these past few weeks. Many things have changed and you can read it at blizzards website for more information regarding the update.
The Real Money Auction house was released at a later time due to more testing and preparation I think because they are using Paypal which has many security features. Having set my account and linked my Paypal account to my Battle.net account, I am already being able to sell my set of gears on the Real Money Auction House. At first I was very skeptic about it that there would be no one to buy my items on the Real money auction house however, to my surprise my first item that was sold and I was very happy about it that there are people interested in buying my items for real money. I have sold it or $1.50 but Blizzard takes 15% and a $1 transaction fee, so that leaves me $0.21. And in the next day, I have sold $0.85 and that should supposed to be $2 and later on $3.45. I am earning a little but eventually, if I am able to grind at higher levels I can get some really rare weapons and legendary items that is worth $100 to $250 max. I can not confirm if other players claim that they have sold their gear for $250 and that is just insanely high.
Prices from the real money auction house is not yet as stable as it seems and players could just set their own price in their own judgement. But there is a suggested price however it is not accurate and players often place their price that suits the items value. Diablo 3's Real Money Auction House is the first game to offer real money involved and this would prevent from players being scammed dealing from outside or either online. I have been too experienced being scammed many times by selling rare items and gold and you could not do anything about it once you are scammed because the game does not allow trading items for real money and it is your own due diligence to check the buyer or seller if he or she is legitimate.
In patch 1.0.3, I could already grind some rare items and powerful weapons at inferno act 1 and 2. Everyday I play this game on a party because it is really very impossible to do solo on inferno level specially when your a Demon hunter or a Witch doctor and a Wizard.
Well was it a good investment? to be honest, I would say that it is a good investment because I have been a fan of Diablo and I have followed the story on. The items and the co-op play is an added extra feature for the game to be more entertaining and to keep players from playing. In the future updates, there would probably be a player versus player (PVP) soon and added gears also. So I think that this game would continue on for many years.
